So this week our Success Time is focusing on money. Success is our schools name for our enrichment/intervention block. All of the first grade classes pick a specific skill to focus on for a 2 week period and then break the students into needs-based groups.
Quite a few of our kiddos are still struggling with counting coins so I made this cute little game to help them work on creating making different coin combinations. I got the inspiration for this game on Pinterest and was linked to this adorable blog, Mrs. Prince & co. She has so many wonderful ideas! Instead of doing my own work I found myself checking out old blog posts from Mrs. Prince. Let's just say I got a little ton of inspiration for things do in my own classroom. If you're not already following her, I so suggest you do :)
So here's "Race to the Piggy Bank"
Click HERE to grab a copy! I have both a color & black and white copy available. I can't wait to use it in class this week!
Have a fantastic week. I'm happy to say it's a short one for me... Half-day Tuesday for mClass benchmarking, half-day Friday for records day & off Monday for MLK Day. I have a feeling instead of feeling short it's just gonna be in.sane and busy!
